New Hope for Orphans

For the last few months, two lady missionaries from the Philippines, Daisy and Marianne, have been staying at Kampong Spue. They have been helping at the orphanage and looking into ways to reach out to the community, among other things. On June 1, the orphanage, under the direction and assistance of these dear ladies, held an outreach to the children in the community called International Children’s Day. Daisy and Marianne plan to remain at Kampong Spue for approximately two years.
They report that 156 children from the community attended and almost all of them accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. They have been holding regular Children’s Fellowship’s on Sunday afternoons and had an increase of almost 30 children in attendance after this outreach. Please pray for their fruitfulness to continue, for the Lord to bless these ladies and to bless all of those at the orphanage and to continue to use it as a beacon of light for its community.”
