|
On February 25, SEAPC-Cambodia signed contracts with six schools in the Chomnoam Commune, Banteay Meanchey Province, for them to be included in the Cambodia Christian School Network. This added over 1,500 more students and 54 more teachers. These schools are in the same commune as Rongko School which has been part of the Cambodia Christian School Network since 2005. The schools are Chomnoam Primary School, Kok Ponley Primary School, Say Sarorn Primary School, Chour Khach Primary School, Beng Trorse Primary school and Dorng Trang Primary School.

Sothea told us, “On the day we signed the contract, we invited Ps. Oung Rean from Open Gate Church to share the word of God with teachers. Ps. Sinai encouraged teachers to keep teaching. He also took the opportunity to introduce
Ps. Bunthouen to all teachers, especially to our new teachers just employed by SEAPC-C for he will be their bible teacher and they will take bible class with him from next month onward.

At the meeting, our superintendent, Mr. Hou Bun Heng, read a complimentary letter from the Department of Education in Banteay Meanchey Province which gave a big compliment to Rongko School and to everyone in the school for the school’s achievememt which made Rongko school to become the 1st model school and stay in the top position as the model school for year 2006, 2007 and 2008. Most importantly, the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports-Cambodia gave a Flag of compliment to Rongko School for the school’s achievement.”
